First Naked Restaurant in London-

No shirt, no shoes, no problem.
A pop-up restaurant in London is taking natural to a whole new level.
Bunyadi, operated by a company called Lollipop, is scheduled to open in the United Kingdom’s capital in June. Customers can decide whether they would like to dine in the nude. Those that do will be offered a locker to store their clothes, and they will be given a robe to wear as they make their way to the “naked section.” Tables are separated by bamboo partitions, and photography will not be permitted.


“We believe people should get the chance to enjoy and experience a night out without any impurities,” Lollipop founder Seb Lyall told the Daily Mail. “No chemicals, no artificial colors, no electricity, no gas, no phone, and even no clothes if they wish to. The idea is to experience true liberation.”
The Daily Mail reports that Bunyadi already has a waiting list of almost 10,000 people. That’s unfortunate news for about 7,000 of them, since the restaurant can seat just 42 diners at a time and Bunyadi will only be able to serve 3,000 people in the three months it will be open.
According to Bunyadi’s website, the atmosphere will be that of a “Pangea-like world, free from phones, electric lights, and even clothing.”

A naked pop-up eatery called Bunyadi is soon to launch in June in London, and there are already nearly 10,000 people on the waiting list.

More than 32,000 people have signed up for a chance to dine at Bunyadi, a pop-up restaurant billed as the UK capital’s first “naked food experience.”

Opening in June, the central London venue will offer gowns, changing rooms and lockers to guests wanting to digest the sight of their own exposed skin while getting their chow on.

Only 42 diners a time will fit in the restaurant — at an as-yet-undisclosed location — meaning that many of those hoping for a naked lunch, or dinner, will be disappointed.

the Waltz Goes On is a studio album by Dutch violinist André Rieu which features Christchurch soprano Hayley Westenra on the last track, “Dreaming of New Zealand“.
The album was released worldwide on 31 October 2011. It presents waltzes from around the world, including a “Valse Triste” (sad waltz) from Finland, a miniature waltz “La petite Valse” from France, a popular waltz tune that began life in Germany.
The album is centered on a waltz composed by Welsh actor Anthony Hopkins. The waltz, called “And the Waltz Goes On” was composed by Hopkins in 1964.A fan of the Dutch violinist, Hopkins’s wife^[4] sent his waltz to Rieu for consideration.

Inspired by New Zealand’s stunning landscape and the ‘life must go on’ attitude of its people in the face of the recent natural disasters, André composed a dreamy waltz together with his first violinist Frank Steijns entitled “Dreaming of New Zealand”. The album includes both an instrumental version and one with English and Māori lyrics.
The album reached number one on the official UK Classical Charts, as well as the Classic FM chart, after its release in the UK.
On 2 October, The album got the honor of “Classic FM Album Of The Year in association with MasterCard” from Classic Brit Awards 2012.

At the individual level, such factors include age, sex, and personal history, while at the level of society, factors contributing to child maltreatment include cultural norms encouraging harsh physical punishment of children, economic inequality, and the lack of social safety nets. WHO and ISPCAN state that understanding the complex interplay of various risk factors is vital for dealing with the problem of child maltreatment.

China Yulin dog meat festival under way despite outrage

An annual dog meat festival in south-west China has begun, amid uproar on the part of animal rights activists.

About 10,000 dogs will be slaughtered for their meat at the Lychee and Dog Meat Festival in Yulin in Guangxi province on Sunday and Monday to mark the summer solstice, state media said.
One retired school teacher from Tianjin hit the headlines when she purchased dozens of dogs to save them.

Residents and vendors in Yulin say the animals are killed in a humane way.

Activists say the killing is cruel and an online campaign to ban the festival has been signed by more than 3.8 million people so far and the campaign has attracted considerable support this year from celebrities both domestic and foreign.

Celebrities including British comedian Ricky Gervais have spoken out on Twitter with the hashtag #StopYuLin2015. Chinese pop star Chen Kun and actor Yang Mi have said they are joining the campaign on micro blogging site Weibo.

And Chinese actor Fan Bingbing and others posted a video online against the festival.
The tradition of eating dog meat dates back four or five hundred years in China, South Korea and other countries, as it is believed to ward off the heat of the summer months, according to state news agency Xinhua.
However, this festival began in recent years, Xinhua said.
City officials have distanced themselves from the gathering. “Some residents of Yulin have the habit of coming together to eat lychees and dog meat during the summer solstice,” the city’s news office wrote on Weibo.
“The ‘summer solstice lychee and dog meat festival’ is a commercial term, the city has never [officially] organised a ‘dog meat festival’,” it added.
As in recent years, some animal lovers resorted to buying some of the dogs in order to rescue them.
Yang Xiaoyun, retired school teacher, paid about 7,000 yuan ($1,100; £710) to save 100 dogs on Saturday.
The BBC’s Celia Hatton in Beijing says this kind of dispute puts the government in a really difficult position. The glorified consumption of dog meat generates a lot of negative foreign media reports, embarrassing the authorities. Also, the dog meat industry has been accused of many underhand tactics, including the illegal capture of family pets to use as food.
But at the same time, the government is wary of the increasingly sophisticated animal rights movement, she adds. Animal rights activists in China have formed a cohesive network on social media that extends to many foreign animal welfare groups. China’s leaders do not want to encourage such a movement amid a wider crackdown on civil disturbance of any kind.

The transition of dog meat consumption began over 400 years ago in China. Many believed that dog meat would help ward off the heat felt through the summer months. It wasn’t until recent years where the festival in Yulin began.
The festival is celebrated annually in Yulin, Guangxi, China, during the summer solstice in June, by eating dog meat and lychees.About 10,000 to 15,000 dogs are consumed during the 10 days of the festival.Throughout the 10 days of festivities dogs are paraded in wooden steaks and metal cages and are taken to be skinned and burned for consumption of festival attendants and local residents.
In a 2014 statement released to Xinhua, Yulin’s local government denies any official involvement or endorsement of the festival itself, describes the event as a local custom observed by “a small percentage of Yulin’s residents”, and attributes the branding of the event to local businesses and residents.

Hiker in Israel finds 2,000-year-old Roman coin – NY Daily News

The coin is the second of its kind known to exist.
A hiker in Israel made a historic find while visiting the countryside — a nearly 2,000-year-old gold coin dating to the Roman Empire, the second of its kind known to exist.
The coin, which dates to 107 A.D., bears the image of Emperor Augustus and was minted by Emperor Trajan as a tribute to the former ruler.
Laurie Rimon found the coin while hiking with friends in eastern Galilee.
“We sat down for break in one of the ruins, and when we got up to leave, I was looking down on the ground [to avoid] tripping over anything, and I see something shiny on the grass, maybe a coin of sorts,” Rimon said, according to a release by the Israel Antiquities Authority.

Laurie, you’re a millionaire,” they told her.
The group contacted a tour guide, and Rimon later decided to turn over the coin to the authority. She will be awarded a certificate for her good deed.
Danny Syon, a senior numismaticst at the Israel Antiquities Authority, said that the coin is “rare on a global level.”





The rare coin could reflect the presence of the Roman army in the area, Donald T. Ariel, head curator of the authority’s coin department, said in a statement.






“Historical sources describing the period note that some Roman soldiers were paid a high salary of three gold coins, the equivalent of 75 silver coins, each payday,” Ariel said. “Because of their high monetary value soldiers were unable to purchase goods in the market with gold coins, as the merchants could not provide change for them.”
Augustus ruled Rome between 27 B.C. and 14 A.D.

Software Update Destroys $286 Million Japanese Satellite | Hackaday

The Japanese X-ray telescope Hitomi has been declared lost after it disintegrated in orbit, torn apart when spinning out of control. The cause is still under investigation but early analysis points to bad data in a software package pushed shortly after an instrument probe was extended from the rear of the satellite. JAXA, the Japanese space agency, lost $286 million, three years of planned observations, and a possible additional 10 years of science research.
Hitomi, also known as ASTRO-H, successfully launched on February 17, 2016 but on March 26th catastrophe struck, leaving only pieces floating in space. JAXA, desperately worked to recover the satellite not knowing the extent of the failure. On April 28th they discontinued their efforts and are now working to determine the reasons for the failure, although a few weeks ago they did provide an analysis of the failure sequence at a press conference.

On March 26th, the satellite completed a maneuver to point at the galaxy Markarian 205. The Attitude Control System (ACS) began using the Star Tracking (STT) system data to control the position of the satellite. The STT at this point should have updated another position monitoring system, the Inertial Reference Unit (IRU). This may not have occurred.
At the time, the satellite was passing the South Atlantic Anomaly. This is important for two reasons. First, it placed Hitomi in a communications blackout region which meant there was no active ground monitoring of the situation (human intervention might have prevented the catastrophic failure). Second, the belts of radiation encircling the Earth dip low in this region so particle density is higher than in other parts of the orbit. High energy particles may have disrupted the onboard electronics.
The STT and IRU disagreed on the attitude of the satellite. In this case the IRU takes priority, but its data apparently was wrong, reporting a rotation rate of 20 degrees per hour, which was not occurring. The satellite attempted to stop this erroneous rotation using reaction wheels. The satellite configuration information uploaded earlier was wrong and the reaction wheels made the spin worse.
The satellite now went into “Safe Hold” mode and thrusters were called upon to stop the rotation. Using the same erroneous configuration information they increased the spin further causing the satellite’s rotation to exceed design parameters. Parts, like the solar sails, came off. In all, at least 5 pieces were observed in addition to the main body. Some reports indicate there may be as many as 10 pieces with 2 larger and 8 smaller pieces continuing in orbit. It’s likely that all ten pieces separated originally but their close proximity prevented visual and radar images from seeing them as separate entities.
In satellites, the STT typically gets a good fix and sends the data to the IRU. The IRU uses the data to set its current reading and to measure how far it drifted since the last update. After calculating the drift it uses drift adjustments to compensate for the future drift. Clearly if the compensation calculation is wrong the future readings are going to be wrong. This appears to have played a role since the ACS attempted to correct a rotation that didn’t exist. The erroneous configuration information led the ACS to aggravate, not correct, the rotation.
The hardware was built to study hard X-ray sources in the Universe. X-ray satellites like the Hitomi are not hindered by dust clouds that obscure visual instruments. Previous satellites have greatly expanded our knowledge of the Universe, with Japan as the leader in the technology.
Japan’s first successful X-ray satellite, Hakucho, was launched in 1979. Other successful launches followed in ’83, ’87, and ’93. Launches in ’76 and 2000 failed. Their most recent X-ray satellite, Suzaka, launched in 2005, was just decommissioned in 2015 due to deterioration of batteries and other components. It was hoped that Hitomi would see similar utility but that hope has now been extinguished.

According to a study, the smell of farts, or hydrogen sulfide, can have some incredible health benefits.
The study emanating from Devon, England, states that not only does farting help the farter live longer, but the smell of the farts can quell dementia. In addition to helping people remember your farting around them when they were younger, smelling farts could help with heart disease, diabetes, and even arthritis. The stinkier the better. The scientists say the risk of  cancer, heart attacks, and strokes can be reduced by simply farting.
This is thanks to the ecosystem in our bowels. When you fart, you’re helping yourself out:

“When cells become stressed by disease, they draw in enzymes to generate minute quantities of hydrogen sulfide.
This keeps the mitochondria ticking over and allows cells to live. If this doesn’t happen, the cells die and lose the ability to regulate survival and control inflammation.

Are You Faster Than The Smell Of A Fart? Here’s Why You’ll Never Escape!

All farts are like snowflakes, beautiful and unique. If you never thought you’d read a sentence like that before, it’s possible that you’re not familiar with ASAP Science, the video series that teaches you all the magical things your high-school science teacher likely never did. (Like why we’re so obsessed with breasts.) Today’s lesson is all about farts. But it’s not about how or why we fart (duh, because it’s fun and annoys others), but whether we could outrun a fart if we wanted to (like in middle school when that one weird smelly kid would just set one off and we’d all cringe at our desks, trying not to bathe in the smell and doing our best not to worry about whether farts contain fecal particles).

The easy answer is that outrunning farts is near impossible. Even Usain Bolt, the video explains, wouldn’t be able to outrun the sound of a particularly loud fart he had produced if he wanted to. He might be gone before you’d know it was him, but he’d certainly hear the sound of the fart escaping as he high-tailed it out of the room. But the issue of smell makes it more complicated. That’s because not only are all farts unique (just the reminder you needed that you were special on this Wednesday!) but because so are our noses, meaning that while some of us might feel the full flavor of a particularly pungent expulsion of gas, sensing it violating the very core of our being, others might just be all “whatever. Farts.” Even then, though, ASAP Science points out that the “smelliest” part of the fart moves at more than 243 meters per second, meaning that we can’t really escape, we can just hope our noses aren’t sensitive.
Good to know. Let’s hope ASAP Science’s next video addresses another of life’s most important questions: Is the one who smelled it also the one who dealt it?

A trio of Mississippi huntsmen found something strange in the tail of the massive Gator they had just killed. Small metal pellets that appeared to be musket balls were lodged deep under scar tissue near the animal’s tail. They sent the metal objects off for testing and researchers determined that not only

were

they were fired over 150 years ago. A series of tests confirmed that the ammunition was authentic and likely fired from an Enfield pattern 1853 rifle-musket by Confederate troops near the start of the American Civil War.

Scientists examined the gator and determined it’s age to be roughly 185-years-old, an unprecedented discovery. Did you know that at least 1 in 3 children will be bullied while in school? With the average American family having almost three kids that means every family will experience bullying.
Now bullying has gotten even easier since kids do it online too. Who is supposed to stop all this bullying? Watch the video below to see complete strangers stepping in to do what’s right.
With more than 70 percent of kids either having been bullied or witnessed bullying, thousands, if not millions, of kids go to school in fear every day.

How are kids supposed to enjoy learning if they’re living in fear of getting bullied or hurt?

The eye-opening PSA included below shows that dangers of bullying and the need for everyone to lend a helping hand.
If you know someone who is being bullied or ever witness it on the street, you should try your best to stop it. Sometimes all it takes is simply stepping in.

A 65-Year-Old Man Marries A 12-Year-Old Girl In Times Square. Now Watch What Happens Next

Most Americans think of child marriage as something that only happens to kids in other countries, but nobody could ever imagine it going on here.
What many people don’t realize is that children as young as 12 actually can marry a much older partner in a few states.
To call attention to the sick reality of child marriage, YouTube star Coby Persin set up a social experiment in New York City.
In the shocking video, Persin sets the scene in Times Square for a 65-year-old man and his 12-year-old bride.
Donning a white dress and a veil, the child bride stares vacantly at the ground as she poses for wedding photos with her much older groom.




At first, the people witnessing the pair’s wedding scene simply shoot the man looks of confusion or disgust.
But it doesn’t take long before the passersby begin to speak up for the little girl, even going as far as demanding to know where her parents are.
“Where is your mom?” one woman asks the scared girl.
When the woman tells the man, “She’s young,” the older man replies: “She’s young, yeah, but the parents, they give me permission.”
Once the bystanders realize what they’re actually seeing, tons of concerned adults jump in to help the girl.
“This is bull****, this isn’t right” one person yells, while another tells the wrinkled groom: “‘you’re a f***ing sick pervert.”
Fortunately, this wedding wasn’t real, but child marriages do happen every single day in countries all over the world.
“New Yorker’s didn’t stand for a child getting married to an older man, and neither should anywhere else in the world be ok with it!” Persin captioned the video.

Dutch millionaire Johan Huibers’ constructed the £1million Ark four years ago and hopes to sail it Brazil for the upcoming sporting event, although this could cost a whopping £1.36million.

A Dutch carpenter inspired by a dream to construct a life-sized replica of Noah’s Ark now has a new and equally ambitious dream – to sail the vast vessel to the Olympic Games in Brazil


It’s vast design has already seen hundreds of thousands of tourists flocking to explore its 410ft long, 95ft wide and 75ft tall chambers, which is similar to the size of the Ark in Genesis 6:15

The religious ark was created to adhere to the Biblical story, in which God instructed a man called Noah to create a boat big enough to save animals and humanity during a flood that would fill the world.

Larger than a football pitch and containing five floors, Huibers’ Ark can transport more than 5,000 people at a time.

Since it opened in 2012, hundreds of thousands of tourists have flocked to explore its 410ft long, 95ft wide and 75ft tall chambers, similar to measurements given in Genesis 6:15.

In keeping with the Biblical tale, the vessel includes artificial replicas of animals in two-by-two formation, which guests are able to witness alongside exploring an interactive museum and event centre.

If the daring feat goes ahead, the 2,500-ton Ark’s progress across the ocean will be streamed live on the internet for fans to follow.

Although the end destination of Huibers’ Ark will be Fortaleza, Brazil during the 2016 Olympic Games and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil for the Paralympic summer games, there will also be a number of other harbour stops along the way in South, Central and North America.

The full itinerary hasn’t been confirmed but the website says desired ports include Montevideo and Buenos Aires, Havana, Panama, Columbia, San Diego, Long Beach, San Francisco and Seattle.

The director of the Ark of Noah Foundation Herald, the non-profit organisation that is co-coordinating the fundraising, says the scheme has a deeper goal of raising money to open ‘Ark of Hope’ Centres.

‘Ark of Hope Centres will provide social, educational and practical support to the underprivileged citizens of Brazil, and later to follow up countries,’ said Herald A. M. A. Janssen.

‘The centres will teach water use, social and environmental responsibilities as well as help with substance abuse issues, workforce skills, and much more.’

It is also hoped that any proceeds can go towards creating interactive exhibits on board, including ones that would feature hologram animals.

Currently Huibers will need a miracle of Biblical proportions to reach the project total, which is currently only a couple of thousand dollars into its target, according to Fox News, and the organisation say they ‘really still need support.’
